Atelier Rural is a space for immersion in Film Post-Production and Artistic Residencies near Fortaleza, Ceará - in the Northwest of Brazil.
Over the last fifteen years, Alexandre Veras's farm and home have given rise to several collective processes of research, creation and production in arts: video, cinema, dance, theater, visual arts and installation arts. In 2020, in partnership with Lucas Coelho and Frederico Benevides, the film post-production room was inaugurated, which - with cutting-edge technology and adjoining accommodation structure - seeks to offer to the films a unique experience, in addition to being an excellent place for post-production processes; editing, sound mixing and image post-production. Without the usual limitations of urban displacement and time schedules and in the midst of nature, moments of conversation, exchange of ideas and references, which feed and enhance the creative process, are privileged.

The agroforestry plantation areas and organic gardens are integrated with the chicken coop, pisciculture tanks and worm farming and form part of a system that seeks a more sustainable and ecological way of life. Currently, surplus production is selled weekly, in the form of organic food baskets.
Since its beginning, Atelier Rural has been a place of invention and is constantly under construction. On the near horizon is the project to build an open warehouse for body practices to host yoga and dance residencies, a digital media laboratory, and the beginning of an arts training project for children and teenagers in the rural district where we are located.
